    Clinical Expertise

    Dr. Feder has been a member of the pediatrics and family medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine for more than 35 years. During this time, he has published more than 125 clinical pediatric infectious disease articles.

    Published Research
    • Dr. Feder has published clinical research, clinical reviews and case reports in many pediatric infectious disease areas, including varicella and herpes simplex, treatment of streptococcal pharyngitis and treatment of complicated staphylococcal infections, antibiotic reviews and toxicities, and Lyme disease (from prophylaxis of deer tick bites to a critical appraisal of “chronic Lyme disease”). Recent publications involve rabies prophylaxis, the rash of Lyme disease, periodic fever (PFAPA) review and pathogenesis, Kikuchi’s disease, and an outbreak of atypical hand, foot, and mouth disease.
