Property Owners

If your application is approved, the LAMPP project will provide you with the following:

  • Financial assistance to address lead hazards, forgiven over 3 years.
    • Single Family - $16,000
    • 2 Units - $23,000
    • 3 Units - $34,500 
    • 4 Units - $36,000 
    • 5 units -  $40,000
    • 6 units & above- $7,000 per unit
  • Inspections and plans for lead hazard removal.
  • Healthy Homes Environmental Visual Assessment to identify potential health hazards
  • Referrals for low cost/no cost weatherization programs
  • Relocation assistance during hazard control work.
  • Lead hazard education for owners and tenants.
  • Guidance through all phases of the program. 

In return the property owner agrees to the following:

  • Contribute $700.00 registration fee per unit at time of contract signing
  • Manage temporary relocation of occupants
  • Cover costs above the maximum LAMPP assistance. 
  • To be responsible for proper disposal of waste materials

For period of 3 years after construction is completed, owner agrees to:

  • Give priority to families with children under age 6 when renting lead safe units.
  • Maintain the units in accordance with the federal Housing Quality Standard
  • Maintain affordable rent levels. (HUD Existing Fair Market Rent)
  • Rent units to low-income households as defined by HUD
