If your application is approved, the LAMPP project will provide you with the following:
- Financial assistance to address lead hazards, forgiven over 3 years.
- Single Family - $16,000
- 2 Units - $23,000
- 3 Units - $34,500
- 4 Units - $36,000
- 5 units - $40,000
- 6 units & above- $7,000 per unit
- Inspections and plans for lead hazard removal.
- Healthy Homes Environmental Visual Assessment to identify potential health hazards
- Referrals for low cost/no cost weatherization programs
- Relocation assistance during hazard control work.
- Lead hazard education for owners and tenants.
- Guidance through all phases of the program.
In return the property owner agrees to the following:
- Contribute $700.00 registration fee per unit at time of contract signing
- Manage temporary relocation of occupants
- Cover costs above the maximum LAMPP assistance.
- To be responsible for proper disposal of waste materials
For period of 3 years after construction is completed, owner agrees to:
- Give priority to families with children under age 6 when renting lead safe units.
- Maintain the units in accordance with the federal Housing Quality Standard
- Maintain affordable rent levels. (HUD Existing Fair Market Rent)
- Rent units to low-income households as defined by HUD
