Expertise

Dr. Sylvester maintains an active collaboration with Dr. Anthony T. Vella within the department of immunology at the University of Connecticut Health Center to study immune responses in children with inflammatory bowel diseases. He is an expert in the impact of chronic digestive diseases in bone health in children. Dr. Sylvester is an active volunteer for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America and currently serves as a member of their Board of Trustees.
