Dr. Zemel has 35 years of experience in diagnosing and treating Lyme disease, and utilizes the best evidence-based medicine and guidelines in providing Lyme care. He also specializes in treating juvenile arthritis, lupus, spondyloarthritis, and fibromyalgia. Dr. Zemel believes a multidisciplinary approach is necessary to diagnose and treat children with musculoskeletal pain or unexplained medical symptoms.

Published Research

Dr. Zemel’s most recent publication was the 2012 article in the New England Journal of Medicine on the role of Tocilizumab in treating systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
