Nursing Grand Rounds offer high-quality, evidence-based education in a lecture/discussion format on topics of concern to nurses. Live-streaming is available.
Ambulatory Nurses Conference
The Ambulatory Nursing Conference is hosted by Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. This event is open to all nurses within the community and across Connecticut (school and homecare included). It is held once per year.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)™
Jointly sponsored with the American Heart Association (AHA), the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) teaches an evidence-based approach to resuscitation of the newborn at the time of delivery.
NICU Clinical Experience Program at Connecticut Children’s
The NICU Clinical Experience Program is designed for nurses who provide care to neonates and desire hands-on clinical experience. The course is held in the Connecticut Children’s NICU setting to introduce, review and/or strengthen skills that are of low frequency but of high acuity in their institutions.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a dynamic course developed by the American Heart Association to prepare health care providers with the knowledge and skills needed for pediatric resuscitation. The course is intended for physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists and other health care providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies.
The two-day provider course is offered monthly on a consecutive Wednesday/Thursday (must attend both days), and a one-day renewal course is offered monthly on Thursdays. Courses are held at 80 Jefferson Street in Hartford from 8am-4:30pm.

Pediatric Nursing Certification Review Course
This course guides participants through the pediatric nursing certification exam review and preparation process and will provide practical tips for studying and test-taking success. It is held once per year.
S.T.A.B.L.E. ® Program
The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program focuses exclusively on the post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care of sick infants.
