Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Connecticut Children’s Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is staffed by more than 20 board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons who treat infants, children and adolescents affected by diseases, injuries and defects of the head, neck, face, jaws and the hard and soft tissues of the oral (mouth) and maxillofacial (jaws and face) region.
Conditions we treat include:
- Cleft lip and palate
- Developmental skeletal anomalies
- Odontogenic infections and tumors
- Oral mucosal diseases
- Salivary gland diseases
- Structural abnormalities of the jaw and face
- Temporomandibular disorders (TMD)
- Traumatic injuries
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons also oversee the management of pediatric patients with associated medical conditions, and provide anesthesia services for all surgical procedures in Connecticut Children’s dental department.
