Dr. Sylvester collaborates closely with the department of immunology at the UConn Health Center to study immune responses in children with inflammatory bowel diseases. He is an expert in the impact of chronic digestive diseases in bone health in children. Dr. Sylvester is an active volunteer for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America and serves as a member of its Board of Trustees.
