Expertise

Dr. Edelheit’s clinical interests are in autoimmune inflammatory disorders of childhood, including the Juvenile Arthritides and Juvenile Dermatomyositis, as well as Lyme arthritis. She has served as the Connecticut Children’s site PI on several studies looking at the treatment of children with Juvenile Arthritis. She has also served on a national committee evaluating treatment plans for children with Juvenile Dermatomyositis. She was recently honored by the Arthritis Foundation and asked to serve as the Medical Honoree for the 2015 Greater Hartford Walk to Cure Arthritis.

Dr. Edelheit is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), the Childhood Arthritis & Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) and the Pediatric Rheumatology Collaborative Study Group (PRCSG).
