Matthew Malouf, PhD
|Education:||BA, The Johns Hopkins University, 2003
MEd, Lehigh University, 2008
PhD, Lehigh University, 2012
Dr. Malouf specializes in providing care to children, adolescents and families with concerns related to gender identity and sex development. He conducts research on gender and sexuality, mental health outcomes and implications for practice. Dr. Malouf often uses a qualitative approach since much of his work involves populations which are historically marginalized, rare and hard to recruit, and for which little is known about processes related to mental health. He managed or administratively supported multiple multisite, NIH-funded projects on issues ranging from longitudinal, retrospective studies of disorders of sex development to randomized field trials of an early educational intervention targeting long-term public and mental health outcomes.
