This conference will address pediatric health issues frequently encountered by the community/school nurse. The keynote speaker is Cheryl Ann Resha, EdD, MSN, RN, FNASN, school nurse advocate.

CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

The conference will address pediatric health issues frequently encountered by the community/school nurse, such as asthma, blood pressure monitoring, G-tubes, diabetes, headaches, pain, trachs, and more. Additionally, a description of the comprehensive system of services at Connecticut Children’s available to the community nurse will be presented.

Application has been submitted to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center for approval of continuing nursing education credit (6 Contact Hours). Connecticut Children’s Medical Center is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Cheryl Ann Resha, EdD, MSN, RN, FNASN, a school nurse advocate and author of the article “National Certified School Nurses’ Perceptions of Their Roles, the Organizations Where They Work, and Their Ability to Exercise Informal Leadership.”

LOCATION

ERC Building on the campus of Hartford Hospital; free parking will be available.
