Community Service Projects
Students and other individuals who must complete service hours for educational or organizational participation requirements are able to complete their hours in the volunteer program at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Volunteers must be at least 15-years-old and agree to complete a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer service within a six month period.
We expect our community service volunteers to take the commitment to Connecticut Children's Medical Center seriously. Before beginning volunteer hours, a Community Service Project Agreement must be signed by the applicant, parent or guardian (if the applicant is younger than 18) and a representative of the agency requiring the volunteer service. Regular attendance is expected. Two unexcused absences will result in duties being assigned to another volunteer.
Reference letters and verification of hours will be provided only if deemed appropriate by Volunteer Services and the volunteer has completed the agreed upon hours of community service.
