As a pediatric physiatrist, Dr. Cruz-Zeno evaluates children with an acute or chronic, congenital or acquired, temporary or permanent disability. He routinely provides consultation for evaluation and treatment on conditions, such as abnormalities of gait, amputations, braces, shoes and artificial limbs, brachial plexus injury, cancer rehabilitation, cerebral palsy, chromosomal disorders and syndromes, contractures of joints, developmental delays, Down syndrome, fractures and multiple trauma, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, muscular dystrophy, musculoskeletal deformities, neuromuscular disorders, neuropathies, plagiocephaly/brachycephaly, premature/high risk infant, Spina bifida, spinal cord injury, spasticity (including botox injections), torticollis, and traumatic brain injury. Dr. Cruz-Zeno is also trained in the proper prescription of artificial limbs, braces, footwear, wheelchairs and other adaptive devices or durable medical equipments to enhance the rehabilitation process.
