Hartford Childhood Wellness Alliance
Who We Are
More than “just another Coalition,” The Hartford Childhood Wellness Alliance is a group of community partner organizations, working across multiple sectors to measurably improve the overall health and well-being of children in our City of Hartford.
To leverage resources, align efforts, and share best practices to improve the overall health of children in Hartford by promoting healthy eating and physical activity and by reducing childhood obesity.
A city where all children enjoy the fundamental right to a safe and healthy childhood where health and wellness is a central focus of the community’s culture and norms.
The Hartford Childhood Wellness Alliance is a working collaboration that includes 77 community partner organizations actively engaged and guiding the work of the Alliance. The Alliance holds quarterly meetings where it works towards integrating initiatives that create healthy environments for Hartford children and families.
Our Steering Committee is made up of a cross-sector group of stakeholders who ensure that multiple perspectives are considered and engaged in Alliance decisions. The Steering Committee also provides governance, guidance and oversight to the Alliance.
