Coronavirus Update: Visitor Restrictions and Info

As of April 26, 2023, masks are no longer mandatory, and COVID-19 visitor restrictions have been lifted.

At Connecticut Children’s, the safety of our patients, patient families and team members is our number one priority. We continue to evolve our family-centered care efforts in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and are making decisions to ensure the safety of our families and team members.

Visitor Screening

Before your visit, please complete the screening for patients and visitors. We screen visitors for symptoms and exposure to transmissible illnesses. Per hospital policy, if a patient or visitor shows active signs of illness, they will be turned away.

Masking Policy

  • Masks are optional for patients, visitors and team members.
  • If a patient or visitor has had close contact with an individual diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 10 days, they will need to wear a surgical mask while visiting Connecticut Children’s. Surgical masks will be provided, if requested.

We will continue to monitor COVID-19 trends and will adjust our masking policy accordingly if need be.
