The Compassion Challenge Posted on April 24, 2017 In honor of Patient Experience Week, Connecticut Children’s Patient and Family Experience team is sharing the Beryl Institute C-I-CARE Compassion Challenge! Compassion is so important to the patient experience and something that we can all do. Check out the 6 techniques below to start making compassion a part of your daily routine! 1. Say Hello to 10 people within the first 2 hours of your day! 2. Deliver an uplifting note or quote to someone’s desk or car. 3. Keep your cell phone in your pocket while walking through the hallways…for an entire day!! 4. Take a Self Care Break – Take a walk outside. Take 10 deep breaths. Take a moment to smile. 5. Learn 5 new things about someone AND share 5 things about yourself. 6. Love the environment. Pick up every piece of trash you see on the way to your next meeting or appointment. Did you take the challenge? What did you enjoy the most! Share your experience with us in the comments section below.
