AuD Externship and Clinical Placement Applicants Connecticut Children’s Medical Center offers several placements for Audiologists enrolled in College/University doctoral programs. 2nd and 3rd Year Clinical Placements Our Audiology department offers clinical placement opportunities during fall, spring and summer semesters. Students receive experience with behavioral audiological evaluations, evoked potential testing, newborn and infant hearing screening, follow-up for referral on newborn screening, hearing aids, and cochlear implants. 4th Year AuD Externship Opportunities 4th Year Externs in our Audiology department work with the Clinical Manager of the Audiology Department and our preceptor team who coordinate their experience during the placement year. Externs receive exposure to many audiologists both in on our main campus at 282 Washington Street, and in our satellite locations in Glastonbury and Farmington. Doctoral candidates interested in a 4th year Externship at Connecticut Children’s should submit a letter of interest, resume and three letters of recommendation to either Nancy Bruno, AuD or Sarah (Meg) LaPointe, MS, CCC-A.
