Developmental-Behavioral Preschool Evaluation Program The Preschool Evaluation Program (PEP) is a collaborative evaluation program in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and Occupational Therapy. Children under five years old seen in this program complete a diagnostic evaluation. During the evaluation, detailed information and history are obtained from family members, a physical examination is completed and additional standardized assessments are administered. The information contributes to an in-depth understanding of the child’s current level of functioning. The developmental-behavioral pediatrician and occupational therapist discuss all information gathered and collaborate on their recommendations, including referrals to other disciplines for further in-depth assessments and therapies as indicated.
