Child Abuse/Neglect Medical Treatment

The Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) Program at Connecticut Children’s provides comprehensive medical and psychosocial care to children who may have experienced sexual abuse, physical abuse or neglect. If you suspect child abuse or neglect in someone you know, report it to the Connecticut Department of Children and Families at 800.842.2288. Referral Care

Continuous, 24/7 care from our in-house emergency medical physicians, physicians in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), and other sub-specialists allows Connecticut Children’s to admit critically ill or injured pediatric patients from other hospitals across the Northeast when more advanced care is needed. Connecticut Children’s Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center is the busiest facility between Boston and New York.
