Athletic Training Residency Program Application Process

Education/License/Certification  Requirements

  • Current NATA BOC certification
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Current Connecticut State Licensure, or eligible

Qualification Preferences

  • Master’s Degree, or intent to graduate by the year of application
  • Minimum 2 years of Certified Athletic Training experience (post undergraduate)

Application Review Process

  • Applications, resumes, and cover letters will be reviewed from March 1st – March 31st
  • Interviews will be extended to 5-10 applicants before April 5th

Interview Process

  • Interviews will be held during the final 3 weeks of April
  • Interviews will be conducted at Connecticut Children’s Sports Medicine, located in Farmington, Connecticut
  • Interviews will be with all of our providers, both staff athletic trainers, the current ATC resident, and our practice manager
  • A full tour of the facility will also be conducted during the interview
