Dr. Edelheit’s clinical interests are in autoimmune inflammatory disorders of childhood, including the Juvenile Arthritides and Juvenile Dermatomyositis. She has a special interest in Pediatric Lupus and together with Dr. Sherene Mason in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology started and co-manages our Combined Lupus clinic at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Edelheit volunteers with the Lupus Foundation of America and has served on the Committee for the Walk to End Lupus now for the Northeast region since 2018.
She also participates in fundraisers for the Arthritis Foundation each year and was honored by the Arthritis Foundation and asked to serve as the Medical Honoree for the 2015 Greater Hartford Walk to Cure Arthritis.
Dr. Edelheit is a member of several professional organizations including the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA), the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), the Childhood Arthritis & Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) and the Pediatric Rheumatology Collaborative Study Group (PRCSG).
