MacDara Tynan, MD, MBA, is a Vice President of Connecticut Children’s Specialty Group and associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
Dr. Tynan is a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine where he has previously served as the Medical Director of Connecticut Children’s – Waterbury, located within Saint Mary’s Hospital. He is the Medical Director of Utilization Management.
Dr. Tynan completed his medical degree at University College Dublin, his pediatric training in London and Birmingham in the UK, and his fellowship in Hospital Medicine at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He also completed a Physician Executive MBA at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2007.
