Courtney K. Rowe, MD, is a fellowship-trained pediatric urologist at Connecticut Children’s and Director of the Reconstructive Urology Program. She specializes in complex congenital and acquired urologic conditions, with particular focus on bladder exstrophy, cloaca, and VACTERL association. Dr. Rowe performs the full spectrum of pediatric urologic surgeries using open, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques. Her clinical expertise includes ureteral reimplantation, pyeloplasty, bladder and urethral reconstruction, orchiopexy, hypospadias repair, and correction of complex congenital anomalies, as well as management of neurogenic bladder and vesicoureteral reflux. She is also Director of the Scientific Center for Fetal & Neonatal Regenerative Medicine within the Connecticut Children’s Research Institute, where she leads translational research in regenerative therapies, tissue engineering, and surgical innovation. A national leader in patient education, Dr. Rowe created the “Don’t Freak Out” video series to help families understand pediatric urologic conditions and has served as Chair of the Public Education Council for the Urology Care Foundation. Her work integrates advanced surgical care, pioneering research, and family-centered education to improve outcomes for children.
