Dr. Martin is great - always very kind, thorough, and patient. He carefully listens to any updates, changes, or concerns before he explains the plan of care. He is very patient with any questions as well as my little one's questions and comments. My little one loves Dr. Martin but can be a sweet chatterbox - this time asking to see images of their past MRI. Dr. Martin never rushes, even when this follow-up was right before the office closed for lunch. Not only did he show the images, he made them move in a silly way to make us laugh. We trust and recommend Dr. Martin as a highly skilled doctor and surgeon, and we truly the appreciate his kindness and compassion.

He was absolutely amazing. He went into in depth detail of the situation. He even pulled out a model skull to explain absolutely everything. He was friendly and compassionate which is exactly what you want in a provider. I loved my experience with the provider.

My only area of concern is around tickling. I know that Dr. Martin had good intentions in tickling my son to get him to look at the camera and smile for a photo for their records. While I think it's typical to tickle babies and young children, I also think it's important to ask for consent when tickling (which is a form of touching) older kids, particularly those with special needs, who may appear smaller or younger than their age. I don't think the tickling in this case was unwelcome, but I think that my son is old enough such that it's important for adults to respect his space and ask for his consent before touching his body.

I felt that Dr. Martin had exhausted the options he was willing to offer and appeared frustrated during our visit. He seemed reluctant to listen thoroughly to my child and repeatedly focused on the same points without presenting additional alternatives, aside from recommending a second opinion from a specific colleague. This approach made me uncomfortable. While I understand and appreciate the value of seeking a second opinion, I prefer to conduct my own research and choose a provider I feel is the best fit, rather than feeling directed toward only one option.Additionally, the interaction became strained when my child-who is dealing with hormonal imbalances and is still a minor-expressed frustration inappropriately. Instead of de-escalating the situation with patience and understanding, Dr. Martin indicated he no longer wished to continue the patient relationship.Given the circumstances, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility and sensitivity during what has been a challenging and ongoing situation for our family. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending his care to others.

Dr Martin made the experience stress free and educational. He took time to answer all our questions and make sure we understood everything pertaining to our visit. Dr Martin and the RN also got stickers and a stuffed animal for our daughter when she was scared and crying! Dr Martin, the RN and MA went above and beyond to ensure our daughter was treated with exceptional care and kindness.
