Dr. Leon Chertin, MD, is a pediatric urologist at Connecticut Children's. He completed his pediatric urology fellowship at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Chertin has particular expertise in endoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, including robotic and laparoscopic techniques, with a special focus on the management of pediatric urinary tract stones. His general pediatric urology practice also includes hydronephrosis, ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction, vesicoureteral reflux, congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract, and penile conditions such as hypospadias. Dr. Chertin's clinical research interests include pediatric urolithiasis, outcomes of minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery, and quality improvement in pediatric urologic care.
