We had shown up late for the appointment because there was an accident off the highway. We waited in sitting traffic for 30 minutes. I called to make sure we could still be seen. They could have said no and I would have understood. They said yes so we arrived as soon as we could. The doctor was rude to me and made multiple comments about going to appointments in East Hartford to "avoid the traffic." I felt as if she was blaming me for being late when it was in fact not our fault, and she could have said no. Every time I brought up the concerns I had about my daughter in hopes to discuss a solution and gain a professional opinion, she would disregard my concern. One example - my daughter is 6 months and still waking up every 4 hours. She struggles to eat more than 5 ounces at a time. She is also getting pur?es at this point twice a day. So I asked if she had any advice about what to do and she said "she's not hungry she's teething." So I explained I don't think she's teething because usually I can tell, her cry is much different compared to the simple "I'm hungry" cry. She still did not address my concern of sleeping/eating. That was not the only time she did that. I understand I was late, but the whole appointment felt rushed, I felt disregarded, and she came off as super rude. AGAIN, if it was that much of an inconvenience because I was late, say so and I will reschedule.

I have never experienced such competency. In fact, I was little skeptical when I found that my child will be seen by a NP but a was wrong. My provider Monica J is efficient and demonstrated that credentials does not always means excellence in healthcare but how much the provider know. I am now seeking to change provider by switching from MD to NP. And this after been treated by MD for almost 16 years. Thanks
