Bridgett Feagin Named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer At Connecticut Children’s

HARTFORD, CONN.– After an extensive national search, Connecticut Children’s has announced that Bridgett Feagin, of Van Buren Township, Michigan, has been named Connecticut Children’s new Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Feagin will play a vital role in leading Connecticut Children’s financial operations and navigating the post COVID-19 business climate. She has extensive experience leading financial strategies, as well as revenue cycle improvements and optimizations at other hospitals across the nation. In addition to her financial expertise, her collaborative management style and passion for Connecticut Children’s mission will be an asset for the non-profit children’s hospital.

Her first day at Connecticut Children’s will be June 22.

“I am excited to move to the east coast to join the largest pediatric health system in the state of Connecticut,” Feagin said. “Like many hospitals across the nation, Connecticut Children’s is not immune to the financial impacts of COVID-19. I’m looking forward to finding innovative ways to ensure Connecticut Children’s long term financial success and viability.”

Recently, Feagin was recognized as one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s 70 African American Leaders in Healthcare to Know. She joins Connecticut Children’s with more than two decades of financial experience and a proven track record of successfully managing the financial operations of highly complex matrixed organizations. She most recently held the position of CFO for three of Tenet Healthcare Corporation/Detroit Medical Center’s (DMC) seven hospitals, including Detroit Receiving, Harper University and Hutzel Women’s Hospitals. Feagin provided direct oversight of finance, supply chain, medical records, revenue integrity, clinical resource management and physician advisors, and patient access. Prior to DMC, she held the role of CFO at United Way for Southeastern Michigan (UWSEM) in which she managed the financial health of the organization, information technology and facilities administration.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Alabama State University and earned a Master of Business Administration in Information Systems Management from Wayne State University. Her professional memberships include Healthcare Financial Management Association, American College of Healthcare Executives, Inforum and National Black MBA Association.
