HARTFORD, Conn. — Connecticut Children's today announced that nationally respected healthcare executive Yair Inspektor, Esq., CPHRM has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer. Inspektor will join Connecticut Children's on October 1 after serving as Deputy General Counsel for Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C., one of the nation's leading pediatric academic health systems.
As Chief Legal Officer and a member of the Executive Management Team, Inspektor will oversee legal affairs, enterprise risk management, governance, compliance, privacy and regulatory strategy, partnering closely with leaders across the organization to support Connecticut Children's continued growth, innovation and mission of improving the physical and emotional health of all children.
"One of my highest priorities as CEO is ensuring we have the right people in the right roles to position Connecticut Children's for success not only today, but five years from now and beyond," said Shannon R. Sullivan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Connecticut Children's. "Yair brings an exceptional combination of children's hospital experience, strategic leadership and sound judgment. Just as importantly, he is a collaborative, values-driven leader who believes that legal and compliance functions should enable our mission and support the people who care for children and families every day. I am thrilled to welcome Yair and his family to Connecticut."
Inspektor brings extensive executive leadership experience spanning pediatric healthcare, healthcare law, governance, enterprise risk management, compliance, strategic transactions and public policy. At Children's National, he advised executive leadership and the Board of Directors on complex legal and strategic matters while supporting clinical operations, research, academic medicine, physician enterprise initiatives and system growth.
Prior to Children's National, Inspektor served as Vice President of Legal, Risk Management and Regulatory Affairs for HSC Health Care System and held leadership positions within the District of Columbia government, including Interim Assistant Superintendent and Director for Policy for the Office of the State Superintendent of Education and Senior Health Policy Advisor for the Deputy Mayor for Education.
"I've been fortunate to build my career alongside incredible colleagues at Children's National," said Inspektor. "What drew me to Connecticut Children's was the combination of mission, momentum and, most importantly, the people. It's clear this organization is at an exciting point in its journey, with tremendous ambition around growth, innovation and impact. Every conversation I had reinforced that this is a place with a strong, values-driven culture, and I'm honored to have the opportunity to help shape its future."
As Connecticut Children's continues expanding access to care, advancing pediatric research and strengthening strategic partnerships across the region, Inspektor will play a key role in
helping the organization navigate an increasingly complex healthcare environment while supporting sound governance, effective risk management and long-term organizational success.
