Hemostasis & Thrombosis Program

Connecticut Children’s Hemostasis & Thrombosis Program is a federally funded program that provides compassionate care to children and adults with bleeding and clotting disorders.

Diagnosis

We diagnose and treat patients with a variety of bleeding disorders, including:

  • hemophilia
  • von Willebrand Disease (VWD)
  • rare factor deficiencies
  • platelet disorders
  • blood clots (deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism)
  • thrombophilia evaluations to understand individual risk for blood clot

We also provide select bleeding disorders specialty medications through our HTC 340B Factor Program.

Comprehensive Care
