Hemostasis & Thrombosis Program Connecticut Children’s Hemostasis & Thrombosis Program is a federally funded program that provides compassionate care to children and adults with bleeding and clotting disorders. Diagnosis We diagnose and treat patients with a variety of bleeding disorders, including: hemophilia von Willebrand Disease (VWD) rare factor deficiencies platelet disorders blood clots (deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism) thrombophilia evaluations to understand individual risk for blood clot We also provide select bleeding disorders specialty medications through our HTC 340B Factor Program. Comprehensive Care The team at Connecticut Children’s works together to create a coordinated care plan for our patients and families to ensure the best care possible.
