Soccer is a non-contact sport where contact in inevitable. It is a fast-paced sport that leads to collisions between players with very little, to no padding. Some of the more common injuries associated with soccer are concussions, lower extremity sprains and strains, contusions, and fractures.

In order to decrease the risk of injury in soccer, it is important to be as physically fit as possible and to be as skillful as possible. One of the best ways to help prevent injury is a dedicated strength and conditioning program.
