Momentum App

Momentum is an app developed by Janoye Williams to connect high school students, especially those from low-income families, with local education, career, and mentoring resources. Reflecting on working with the Lab, Williams shared, “We received great feedback from Childhood Prosperity Lab, which included advice to develop a logic model and theory of change to substantiate our innovation.”

Lactation Innovations

Lactation Innovations is creating a non-invasive device that uses infrared and Bluetooth technology to track infants’ breast milk intake in real time, helping mothers feel confident and supported, and Brittany Molkenthin calls their engagement with Childhood Prosperity Lab “a rewarding, positive experience… an enriching, educational experience that I would recommend to other social innovators.”

Hartford Promise

Hartford Promise is strengthening Hartford’s college-going culture through its Integrated College Success Model, which combines scholarships, personal supports, transition services, and key relationships to help students succeed in high school and college, and they reflect on the Lab’s impact, saying, “The time [Childhood Prosperity Lab] were willing to give us, and their extensive thoughtful analysis of our work, was invaluable to help us look at our program more clearly, appreciate the innovation of our Integrated Model more fully, and help us crystallize the strength of our message about what we do and why it matters.”

B-Vitals, developed by Behavioral Pulse Inc., is a comprehensive online behavioral health assessment that helps pediatricians and parents identify and address children’s behavioral health concerns early, and the team reflects on the Lab’s impact, saying, “Collaborating with Childhood Prosperity Lab has been invaluable in expanding our vision and refining our approach… The Mastermind session helped us shift our focus… ultimately, making B-Vitals accessible to a broader population of children and families.”

Avocado Health is a 24/7 text-based “Parent Coach-in-your-Pocket” that provides accessible, evidence-based support to reduce parental stress and improve child well-being, and the team reflected on the Lab’s impact, saying, “We gained invaluable insights from a leading group of Subject Matter Experts… the session helped clarify where there are real needs and how we can establish partnerships that can be foundational to our success.”

Mango Moon creates premium-quality stories for children across film, digital, television, books, and audio to engage, educate, and inspire young audiences. 2-4-1 TOP Shelf Sports

2-4-1 TOP Shelf Sports is reimagining youth athletics by giving kids the freedom to explore creative ways to bring play back into sports, encouraging them to be their best selves while building confidence, friendships, and joy for life. The team describes their engagement with Childhood Prosperity Lab as “Participating in the Childhood Prosperity Lab Mastermind helped bring real clarity to our work. The advisors offered thoughtful, practical feedback that pushed us to think more intentionally about how we grow and define our model. The short report didn’t just reflect what we shared—it helped us better understand where we’re headed. We’re especially grateful for the feedback on our use of data. In a space where stories matter, being able to back those stories with solid data is critical—and hearing that called out as a strength gave our team a real boost. ACL Squad

ACL Squad is an evidence-based program serving adolescents after ACL reconstruction, designed to bridge the gap from rehabilitation to performance. The exercise program focuses on reducing re-injury risk, increasing physical activity, and facilitating a successful return to sports while cultivating social connection and social-emotional health. The team describes their experience with the Childhood Prosperity Lab Mastermind as “The most valuable part of the Mastermind was collecting different insights from others around the organization that have different perspectives and the display of a genuine interest from all those involved on the call.”
