Funding provided by the Connecticut Department of Public Health (CT DPH) through the ARPA Lead Free CT program has been fully expended. As a result, we are unable to advance projects currently on the waitlist, and we are not accepting new applications at this time.

Free Removal of Lead Paint Hazards*


Many homes in Connecticut built before 1978 contain lead, posing a potential risk to children.

Currently, Connecticut residents can make their older homes lead-safe by removing lead paint hazards for free*. If you own a property where a pregnant person or a child under age 6 lives, you may qualify for free abatement services. Abatement involves eliminating or removing lead paint hazards.
