The Hartford Regional Lead Treatment Center at Connecticut Children’s focuses on primary prevention of lead poisoning through education of pediatricians and other local agencies.

No blood lead level is considered safe in children. In 2012, the CDC lowered the lead reference value to 5ug/dL, at which level children require further management.

Lead poisoning is preventable and we are committed to do what we can to help prevent it!
