Why Connecticut Children’s

Neuromuscular disorders have complex and varied impacts on a child’s mobility, affecting each child differently. The Neuromuscular Disorders program is made up of highly experienced orthopedic specialists who tailor treatments to your child and their unique needs. These treatments can range from bracing programs to complex bony or soft tissue surgeries.

The Neuromuscular Disorders program partners with Connecticut Children’s Center for Motion Analysis to understand how each child’s diagnosis affects how they walk. We use this information to create an impactful, custom treatment plan for your child, and carefully measure their progress.
