Connecticut Children’s Cardiology & Cardiovascular Surgery team includes a diverse group of medical experts specially trained to care for infants, children and young adults for a wide range of heart conditions. Our specialists span all areas of pediatric cardiology, from fetal cardiology to adults with congenital heart disease.
Connecticut Children’s has 11 general and subspecialty cardiologists and one cardiovascular surgeon. Our cardiology specialists handle more than 7,000 pediatric patient care visits and perform more than 100 heart procedures each year. We have the only cardiology program in Connecticut that offers pediatric cardiac specialists to support the full spectrum of patient care.

Connecticut Children’s is researching early markers of heart muscle function abnormalities. By detecting problems early, we anticipate the ability to target treatments that prevent further heart muscle problems before patients become high-risk.
